Camp Louise Presbyterian School — Roofs Before September
📍 Camp Louise, Haiti
350 children in Camp Louise are supposed to start school in September — but their classrooms have walls and no roof. AHVED is standing with Père Wisly Jacques and the school community to finish the building before the year they cannot afford to lose.

The Problem
The Presbyterian School of Camp Louise serves 350 students in a region where losing a school year means many children never return. Today, the school has walls but no roof. September's rains and the new academic year are weeks away. Without immediate help, 350 kids will have no place to learn.
About This Project
Père Wisly Jacques, administrator of the Presbyterian School of Camp Louise, has led this community's children for years. When the current school building was damaged, the community rebuilt what they could — walls, foundation, and framework. What remains is the roof, doors, windows, benches, and classroom finishes: everything that makes four walls a school.
Why now. School opens in September. In this region, when children miss a year they often never come back. The country's instability means families cannot travel to alternative schools. The choice is finish this building or lose a generation.
What AHVED is doing. We are partnering with Père Wisly and the school council to raise construction funds, procure roofing and finishing materials locally, and publish weekly progress updates so donors see every dollar at work. No AHVED overhead is charged to this project.
