Why This Program Exists
AHVED's ESL program offers practical English instruction designed specifically for Haitian adults and immigrants who need to communicate effectively in their daily lives — at work, at the doctor's office, at school meetings, and in their communities.
Classes are offered at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, so students can start where they are and grow at their own pace. Instruction focuses on the English you actually need — not textbook exercises, but real conversations and real situations.
Classes are available at all levels — no prior English required. Whether you are just starting out or want to strengthen your existing English for professional or daily use, there is a class for you. Instructors are trained educators who understand the Haitian community's needs and culture.
