Imagine a farmer in Haiti's Artibonite Valley harvesting a full crop of plantains — and watching half of it rot before he can get to market. That's not a farming problem. That's an infrastructure problem. And it's fixable.
The Konbit Agro-Community Center will give the Artibonite's smallholder farmers what they've always needed: a cold storage facility, a cooperative market, a training center, and access to small loans — all managed by the community itself.
